The Association of African American Web Developers is a vehicle for
promoting camaraderie, collaboration, and professional growth among
men and women of color in all phases of web development and design,
and to demonstrate their talents, skills, creativity, and contributions
to the growth of the industry.
AAAWD embraces two groups which makes up
the majority of its membership: Industry Professionals - Individuals who
are currently working in the industry of web development and design, and
Students - Matriculating students registered in and studying some aspect
of web development in an accredited educational institution.
AAAWD is open to anyone willing to participate in the Association given
they meet the above qualifications and share our philosophy. Accordingly,
